The impact of a minor child's cancer diagnosis on parental work: a scoping review

Abstract
Objective
This study aims to systematically analyze the impact of having a minor child with cancer on parents' work, including the influencing factors and dynamic adjustment strategies.
Method
The study used Arksey and O' Malley framework and PRISMA-ScR list to guide the review process and minimize potential bias. The Ecological Model of Health was adopted as the theoretical framework to analyze the influencing factors extracted from the included studies. We searched PubMed, Excerpt Medica Database (Embase), Web of Science, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), and the Cochrane Library databases for articles published from the date of database inception to December 31, 2025. Two researchers performed article screening and data extraction.
