Primary Adenoid Basal Cell Carcinoma on the Face: A Rare Histopathological Variant
By Nanda Patil, Chaitanya Shinde, Manasi Bhade and 2 others.
Abstract
Adenoid basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is a rare histopathological variant of basal cell carcinoma, a cutaneous malignancy arising from basal cells of the epidermis. We report an 84-year-old male farmer presenting with an ulcerated lesion on right side of cheek. Punch biopsy revealed adenoid BCC. This case highlights the clinical and histopathological features of a rare BCC variant. Accurate diagnosis is essential due to its diagnostic overlap with other basaloid neoplasms and implications for management.
