Abstract
In this cross-sectional pilot study, we investigated associations between health-related quality of life (HRQL) and demographic, clinical, and tumor-related features in patients with isocitrate dehydrogenase-mutant (IDH-mt) gliomas using remote computer-adaptive testing. Fifteen young adults were recruited prospectively. Clinical data and neuroimaging were integrated with computer-adaptive assessments of patient-reported outcomes. The average overall QOL score for patients with a frontal tumor ( M = 58.07 ± 6.41) was better than those without a frontal tumor ( M = 47.61 ± 8.72; p = .02). In this cross-sectional sample, patients further out from diagnosis reported worse fatigue ( b = 0.17; p = .03). Remote computer-adaptive patient-reported outcomes were successfully collected among enrolled participants and integrated with clinical and neuroimaging data, supporting further evaluation of this approach in larger prospective studies.
