Abstract
Purpose
Inhibitors of the ataxia-telangiectasia and Rad3-related (ATR) protein kinase, a critical component of the DNA damage repair response, have synergistic anticancer activity with platinum compounds in preclinical models. We therefore conducted a phase II study of the ATR inhibitor berzosertib + carboplatin versus docetaxel + carboplatin in metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC).
