Abstract
Background
Urothelial bladder carcinoma (UBC) shows considerable biological variation, and routine clinicopathological parameters do not always reflect its aggressive behavior. C-X-C motif chemokine ligand 5 (CXCL5) participates in inflammatory signaling, angiogenesis, tumor invasion, and modification of the tumor microenvironment. Its pathological relevance in UBC still needs further clarification. This research aimed to assess CXCL5 protein expression immunohistochemically in UBC and determine its relationship with the available clinicopathological characteristics.
