Chitosan-nanoparticles (CS-NPs) offer an effective approach to drug delivery for treating HIV/AIDS. However, how the interaction of CS-NPs with the blood-brain barrier (BBB) in the context of HIV infection remains unclear. In this study, we investigated the effects of CS-NPs and HIV proteins in endothelial cells of a BBB model.
