Abstract
Background
/Objectives: Pregnancy is associated with different biological, physiological, psychological and social changes, and often with depressive and anxiety symptoms. Brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) has a major role in neuroplasticity, stress re-sponses, cognition, and various psychiatric disorders including depression and anxiety. The results on the relationship between BDNF and depressive or anxiety symptoms in pregnancy are inconsistent. Study aimed to evaluate the association between BDNF with presence and severity of depressive and anxiety symptoms in pregnant women.
