Intravascular Ultrasound-Guided Enhanced Stent Visualization for a Calcified Lesion
By Kosuke Muto, Kentaro Mitsui, Yu Kataoka and 1 others.
Abstract
An 88-year-old woman presented with non–ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction. Coronary angiography demonstrated severe stenosis in the proximal circumflex artery and moderate stenosis with calcification at a distal bifurcation (Figure 1A and B). She had severe renal impairment (estimated glomerular filtration rate = 11 mL/min/1.73m2) and experienced transient worsening renal function after angiography. To reduce the risk of contrast-induced nephropathy, minimal contrast was required.
