Brain-Derived Tau as a Predictor of Prognosis in Patients with Stroke: A Meta-Analysis of Cohort Studies
By Tang H, Liu C, Yang X and 4 others.
Abstract
Introduction/objective
Stroke remains a leading cause of global mortality and disability. Plasma Brain-Derived tau (BD-tau) is a brain-specific biomarker of neuronal injury, but its prognostic value in ischemic stroke remains unclear. This meta-analysis investigated the association between elevated plasma BD-tau levels and unfavorable functional outcomes in Acute Ischemic Stroke (AIS) patients.
