Serial changes in right ventricular function after mitral valve surgery: retrospective analysis of a prospective cohort
By Lin X, Lin X, Guo Y and 10 others.
Abstract
Background
Despite the clinical relevance of right ventricular (RV) function assessed on echocardiography, its predictive utility for patients receiving mitral valve surgery remains uncertain. The primary objectives of this study were to characterize RV function before and after valvular surgery and to establish the diagnostic value of this assessment.
