Abstract
Background
Vibrio vulnificus, a Gram-negative bacillus, is frequently present in warm estuarine and coastal waters and is a notable pathogen responsible for seafood-related fatalities globally. Infection typically arises from ingesting contaminated seafood or exposure of skin wounds to tainted seawater, resulting in primary or secondary sepsis, as well as severe skin and soft tissue infections.
