By Zhou Y, Chen Q, Wang T and 8 others.
Abstract
Aim
To investigate surgical patients' willingness to engage in these services, their specific needs and the factors that influence their willingness.
Design
An exploratory, sequential, mixed-method study employing semi-structured interviews and cross-sectional surveys.
Methods
Qualitative data were collected from 15 patients via semi-structured interviews from August to November 2021. Colaizzi's phenomenological analysis was used to analyse interview data. The study collected quantitative data using the general information questionnaire, the questionnaire on willingness to participate in pre-experience service in the operating room, the General Self-Efficacy Scale and the All Aspects of Health Literacy Scale, recruiting 600 patients from March to July 2022. Univariate and binary logistic regression analyses identified factors.
