Global Research Trends in Metatarsal Stress Fractures in Athletes

Introduction

Metatarsal Stress Fractures (MSFs) are commonly occurring overuse injuries for athletes and soldiers. This paper investigated publication patterns, top authors, networks, and themes associated with MSFs. Methodology: Bibliometric analysis of publications on MSFs published during the period from 1970-2026 was carried out using the Web of Science Core Collection. Network and visualization of bibliometric analyses were carried out using VOSviewer.
