Diagnosis of Awake Bruxism in Adolescents and Young Adults: A Systematic Review
By García-Moya J, Ruiz-Roca JA, Pecci-Lloret MP and 3 others.
Abstract
Background/Objectives: Awake bruxism is a masticatory muscle activity occurring during wakefulness and expressed as tooth contact, clenching, grinding or mandibular bracing. Its diagnosis in adolescents and young adults remains controversial due to the absence of a universally accepted gold standard. This systematic review aimed to assess the diagnostic methods used for awake bruxism in this population.
