By Rahman S, Das SK, Farhana Z and 9 others.
Abstract
Background and aims: Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection remains a global health concern, with nurses being particularly vulnerable to occupational exposure. In Bangladesh, however, there is limited understanding of the knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) of nurses concerning HBV, highlighting a significant gap in research and awareness. Therefore, the study aimed to assess the KAP of nurses regarding HBV.
Methods
This cross-sectional study was conducted among 120 nurses through face-to-face interviews using a semi-structured questionnaire, employing a convenience sample technique. Different statistical tools, including frequency distribution, Box and Whisker plot, the non-parametric Mann-Whitney U test and Kruskal-Wallis test were used in data analysis.
