Abstract
Adrenal ganglioneuroma is an uncommon benign neoplasm that is usually discovered incidentally. This study reports an incidental finding in a 15-year-old boy who initially presented with low-grade fever and later developed insidious right hypochondrial pain. Routine laboratory evaluation was unremarkable. Ultrasonography and contrast-enhanced CT demonstrated a well-defined oval-shaped heterogeneous lesion with an eccentric focus of calcification in the right suprarenal region. Histopathology confirmed an adrenal ganglioneuroma. This case highlights the deceptive nature of adrenal ganglioneuroma in the pediatric age group, where atypical presentations and imaging features may lead to misleading preliminary impressions and can simulate infective or inflammatory disease.
