Tuberculosis and its treatment are associated with significant psychological burden, especially in multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) due to treatment regimens, treatment effects, stigma and socio-economic disruption. Evidence from other parts of the world, such as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, is still scarce.
