Clinical, Sociodemographic, Stoma-Care, and Follow-Up Profile of Children with Ostomies at a Tertiary Care Center: A Retrospective Study
By Mary Nithya P.
Abstract
Background
Pediatric ostomies are commonly created for congenital anomalies and severe gastrointestinal conditions and may have important implications for physical health, skin integrity, psychosocial well-being, and family functioning. However, information describing the clinical and sociodemographic characteristics of children living with ostomies remains limited in India, particularly in tertiary pediatric care settings.
