Abstract
Objective
While laparoscopic abdominal surgery has many benefits, the results of past studies regarding the rate of complications after surgery using different laparoscopic approaches are contradictory. According to the different results of previous studies, we have prospectively investigated pot-related complications in laparoscopic abdominal surgeries in the Iranian population. Materials and Methods: This study was conducted as a prospective cohort. Number of 346 patients’ candidates for abdominal surgery using the laparoscopy technique referred to Imam Hossein Hospital in Tehran, Iran, in 2021-2023 were included in the study based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Demographic information about the patients (age, gender, and underlying disease) and information related to surgery and complications related to the port were examined and recorded by the surgeons for six months after surgery.
