Abstract
Introduction
Diffuse hair loss in women has multiple aetiologies, which often present a diagnostic challenge due to the significant aetiological overlap between different types of alopecia. While clinical examination provides initial clues, histopathology remains a vital tool for definitive diagnosis. Furthermore, nutritional and endocrine factors, such as iron stores and thyroid function, are frequently implicated as systemic triggers or aggravators of hair loss.
