By Nyasa M, Sharma A, Kerkhoff AD and 8 others.
Abstract
Background
Since the COVID-19 pandemic, parental delays and refusals of well-established, safe, and effective childhood vaccinations have contributed to the resurgence of infectious diseases. This raises concerns that COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy may also extend to novel vaccines for children when introduced in the future. This study examined caregivers’, who included healthcare workers (HCWs), perceptions of novel vaccinations for children ages 0-17 years old and intentions to vaccinate children and adolescents ages 12-17 years against COVID-19.
