Abstract
Stunting is still a chronic nutritional problem in Nglinggi Village, South Klaten Subdistrict, Klaten Regency. In the past year, the number of cases increased from 7 to 12 children. The main problems include the low public understanding about stunting, inappropriate parenting patterns due to hereditary parenting traditions, and the minimal psychological understanding of parents towards children's needs. This community service activity aims to apply parenting education from a psychological perspective to increase family awareness in preventing stunting in Nglinggi Village. The approach used is qualitative with source triangulation techniques, involving Posyandu cadres, village nutrition experts, documentation, and official secondary data. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model and the Health Belief Model framework. The results of the activity show a gradual increase in community awareness, marked by the emergence of mothers' initiatives to consult regarding child growth. However, comprehensive changes in parenting patterns are still constrained by limited village budgets and low health literacy. This activity increases partners' understanding regarding the relationship between parenting patterns, caregivers' psychological conditions, and the risk of stunting. This understanding becomes the basis for strengthening psychology-based education sustainably. This activity also strengthens the psychological insight of cadres and village health workers in assisting families and affirms the importance of integrating psychological approaches and nutritional education in sustainable stunting prevention.
