RETATRUTIDE (LY3437943) is a novel investigational peptide developed for the treatment of obesity and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).It is the first triple harmone receptor agonist that simulataneously activates the GLUCAGON-LIKE PEPTIDE-1(GLP-1),GLUCOSE DEPENDENT INSULINOTROPIC POLYPEPTIDE(GLP), and GLUCAGON RECEPTORS .This unique mechanism s insulin secretion, suppress appetite, delays gastric emptying, and increases energy expenditure, leading to significant weight loss and improved glycemic control. Obesity - defined by excessive amount of fat tissue - is becoming more and more serious health problem among our population and affecting a growing number of people.
