A Review Paper: The Impact of Contemporary Lifestyle on Obesity and Its Direct Correlation with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
By Ahmed Mohamed Fawzy Mohamed Ismail.
Abstract
Obesity represents one of the most critical metabolic challenges in contemporary internal medicine, directly contributing to the escalation of chronic non-communicable diseases. This review paper aims to explore the pathophysiological correlation between obesity and the development of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) driven by insulin resistance. By reviewing recent medical literature, this paper concludes that early lifestyle modifications and public health education regarding visceral fat accumulation are the primary cornerstones required to prevent severe internal medicine complications.
