By José Luís Sousa, Gonçalves, Catarina, Florent Kergoet and 2 others.
Abstract
Background
Handgrip strength (HGS) is associated with older people’s functional independence, facilitating autonomous living and active participation in daily, professional and social activities. HGS is an essential indicator of overall physical and functional capacity, playing a fundamental role in promoting independence and well-being. Loneliness has been associated with loss of functional capacity.
