Abstract
Objective
To evaluate the etiological distribution, clinical course, and factors associated with surgical requirements in patients with infectious keratitis.
Methods
This retrospective study included 119 eyes of 109 patients diagnosed with infectious keratitis at a tertiary referral center between 2023 and 2025. Demographic characteristics, etiological agents, presenting and final visual acuity, hospitalization duration, clinical outcomes, and complications were analyzed. Factors associated with advanced surgical intervention, defined as keratoplasty or evisceration/enucleation, were evaluated.
