Background

The increasing occurrence of infections caused by carbapenem resistant Gram negative bacilli (CR GNB) has resulted in colistin being the last resort. But worldwide, there is an increase in resistance even to colistin, which necessitates accurate detection. This is impeded by a lack of reliable and user-friendly methods for colistin testing.
