Abstract
Currently, radiopharmaceuticals based on iodine-123 are intensively used in medicine to diagnose thyroid cancer, study brain perfusion, insulin metabolism, and in many other areas. In the manufacture of sources based on iodine-123, it is possible for it to enter the thyroid gland of personnel performing these works. The article provides an assessment procedure for the expected quivalent doses of thyroid radiation to personnel upon inhalation of radionuclide
