Abstract
Nutritional status is an important indicator of children’s health and is influenced by various factors, including basic immunization history, which provides protection against infectious diseases. This study aimed to determine the relationship between basic immunization history and nutritional status among toddlers in the Working Area of Tenga Community Health Center, South Minahasa Regency. This quantitative study used an analytic observational design with a cross-sectional approach. The study population consisted of toddlers aged 24–59 months in the working area of Tenga Community Health Center. A total of 81 toddlers were selected using total sampling. Data were collected through interviews and anthropometric measurements. Nutritional status was assessed using height-for-age (HAZ) and weight-for-height (WHZ) indicators, while basic immunization history was categorized as complete or incomplete. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analyses with Fisher’s Exact Test at a significance level of α = 0.05. The results showed no significant relationship between basic immunization history and nutritional status based on HAZ, with p = 0.130. There was also no relationship between basic immunization history and nutritional status based on WHZ, with p = 0.268. In conclusion, basic immunization history was not statistically associated with nutritional status among toddlers based on HAZ or WHZ in the Working Area of Tenga Community Health Center, South Minahasa Regency.
