Abstract
Objective
This study aimed to evaluate the comparative assessment of Garlina and Murraya koenigii L. in hyperlipidemic rats.Material and Methods: In vivo antihyperlipidemic potential of different MURK (Murraya koenigii L.) extracts and Garlina was conducted on Wistar rats induced with high-cholesterol diet. All test samples were given at p.o. dosage of 50 mg/ kg and animals were observed for 60-days. Animal Food-intake and body weight along with lipid markers in liver and aorta were investigated. In addition to this, serum lipid biomarkers along with atherogenic index was also determined. The results compared with Atorvastatin treated group. Data is expressed as mean ± standard error mean (S.E.M) using ANOVA to determine significance.
