Abstract
This study aimed to determine the effect of lower-limb muscle power training on shooting accuracy in futsal at SMPN 2 Labuhan Haji. This study employed a quantitative approach using an experimental method with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population consisted of 17 students participating in the futsal extracurricular activity at SMPN 2 Labuhan Haji. A saturated sampling technique was used, in which all members of the population were selected as the research sample. The treatment consisted of systematically and programmatically structured lower-limb muscle power training using squat jump and squat jump crossover exercises. Data were collected through shooting accuracy tests conducted before the treatment (pretest) and after the treatment (posttest), with each participant performing three shooting trials. The results showed that the mean shooting accuracy score increased from 67.12 in the pretest to 80.82 in the posttest. The Shapiro-Wilk normality test showed significance values of 0.102 for the pretest and 0.110 for the posttest, indicating that both datasets were normally distributed. The homogeneity test showed a significance value of 0.884 > 0.05, indicating that the data were homogeneous. Furthermore, the paired sample t-test resulted in a t-value of 10.03 with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and 16 degrees of freedom (df). The t-value was greater than the t-table value (10.03 > 2.120), indicating that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected. Therefore, lower-limb muscle power training had a significant effect on improving shooting accuracy in futsal among students at SMPN 2 Labuhan Haji.
