By Rabab Abdo Mohamed Fadlelmula.
Abstract
Mesotherapy is a minimally invasive, evidence-based procedure used in various medical specialties, including vascular conditions, pain management, rehabilitation, dermatology, and aesthetic medicine. This technique involves injecting small amounts of active substances into the skin to produce therapeutic effects. This article covers the history of mesotherapy, its classification, synergistic mechanism, some typical ingredients used in mesotherapy injections, and the regulatory framework. Additionally, it discusses the role of mesotherapy in specific dermatological conditions (Acne, Melasma, Rosacea, Cellulite, and Androgenetic alopecia), as well as the contraindications for its use.
