Abstract
Background
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a progressive respiratory condition marked by persistent airflow limitation and chronic inflammation, with dyspnea being a major disabling symptom. While pharmacological treatment is central to management, non-pharmacological approaches including pulmonary rehabilitation and mind body exercises are increasingly recognized for improving symptom control and quality of life. Liuzijue Qigong, a traditional Chinese breathing practice that integrates controlled breathing, coordinated movements, and mental focus, is used to enhance respiratory function and reduce dyspnea in COPD patients.
