Abstract
Abstract Background: Intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (IHCP) is a pregnancy-specific liver disorder characterized primarily by pruritus and elevated serum bile acid concentrations. Increasing maternal serum bile acid concentrations have been associated with adverse perinatal outcomes, although the strength of these associations may vary across populations. This study evaluated the association between late-pregnancy serum bile acid concentrations and maternal and neonatal outcomes among women clinically diagnosed with IHCP.
