Abstract
Abstract Background: Oxybutynin is widely used to treat neurogenic bladder in children with spina bifida. As oxybutynin readily crosses the blood–brain barrier, concerns remain regarding its potential effects on the central nervous system. However, evidence regarding long-term psychiatric and neurodevelopmental outcomes in children is limited. Therefore, this study evaluated the association between oxybutynin exposure and those outcomes in children with spina bifida and neurogenic bladder.
