Abstract
Abstract Purpose: To evaluate the long-term real-world efficacy, safety, and functional and structural outcomes in patients with ocular hypertension (OHT) or primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) undergoing trabecular micro-bypass surgery with the iStent inject W®.
Methods
This retrospective longitudinal study included 149 eyes of 149 patients with OHT or POAG who underwent implantation of the iStent inject W®, combined with phacoemulsification, and were followed for up to five years. Outcomes included intraocular pressure (IOP), number of hypotensive medications, best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA), optical coherence tomography (OCT) structural parameters, and visual field indices. Follow-up data were available at 1 year (n = 123), 2 years (n = 94), 3 years (n = 61), 4 years (n = 35), and 5 years (n = 15).
