Primary Care Screening and Outcomes for People with HIV with Poor Care Engagement: the MOD Low-Barrier Clinic
By Raaka G. Kumbhakar, Julia C. Dombrowski, Katherine Holzhauer and 10 others.
Abstract
Abstract This retrospective cohort study evaluated the impact of a low-barrier, walk-in HIV clinic (MOD), on primary care screening and outcomes. Among 462 patients (2018-2024), chronic disease screening, comorbidity care, and viral suppression improved after enrollment in MOD. Low-barrier care for PWH can improve both HIV related and primary care outcomes.
