Arthroscopic Repair of a Partial-Thickness Rotator Cuff Tear with Extensive Tendon Thinning Using Fascia Lata Graft Augmentation: A Case Report
By Tatsuya Ito, Noboru Hayashi, Tasuku Arifuku and 1 others.
Abstract
The optimal management of partial-thickness rotator cuff tears (PTRCTs) has been widely discussed. Surgical options for PTRCTs generally include arthroscopic debridement, in situ repair (ISR), tear completion followed by repair (TCR), and more recently, the use of bioinductive collagen patches.3,10,12 These treatment strategies primarily focus on the depth of the rotator cuff tear and whether the tear is located on the articular or bursal side. However, little attention has been paid to PTRCTs associated with the extent of tendon thinning within the rotator cuff.
