Three‐and‐a‐Half‐Year Follow‐Up After Sacroiliac Joint Fusion With Preexisting Ipsilateral Total Hip Arthroplasty: A Case Report
By Dustin J. Kress, Jason J. Haselhuhn, Neill B. Hatcher and 2 others.
Abstract
ABSTRACT Sacroiliac joint fusion was performed in a patient with a preexisting ipsilateral total hip arthroplasty, with no hip dislocation and unrestricted return to farm work at 3.5 years. Fusion eliminates sacroiliac motion and raises hip contact stress, so adjacent joint health warrants preoperative assessment.
