Abstract
Cough is one of the most common and distressing symptoms in pediatric practice and represents a major cause of medical consultation, parental anxiety, and inappropriate medication use. Although most acute cough episodes are benign and self-limiting, they can significantly affect child's sleep, school performance, and quality of life. The COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent changes in infection patterns and immune responses have further highlighted the need to update the existing clinical guidance.
