More specifically, definitions, etiologies, and diagnostic approach, including indicated mandatory and optional laboratory and imaging examinations, are provided. Furthermore, therapeutic management is detailed in a step-by-step approach and a treatment algorithm is provided. Finally, the challenges of the diagnosis and management of pHPT in pregnancy are also discussed.
