Resumen
Changes in stress indicators such as pre-competitive anxiety, salivary cortisol, heart rate, and mood states, as well as biochemical parameters such as lactate, and their influence on the performance of Brazilian Archery Team athletes in a simulated competition were evaluated. The results demonstrated that glycemia during the competition showed alteration after the 70m distance compared to the same point on the rest day. The concentration of lactate in the competition, in turn, showed a statistically significant increase after all four evaluated distances compared to the lactatemia on the rest day. Cortisol, a hormone used as a stress marker, presented plasma concentrations after all investigated distances on the competition day compared to the rest day. Salivary IgA concentration on the rest and competition day did not show any difference according to the day (even though cortisol, a hormone that may influence it, presented differences in the post of different distances). Grip strength did not present significant differences in the various distances when compared to rest and simulated competition days. The session RPE showed that the simulated competition was perceived by the organism as having a greater impact on the day of the simulated competition compared to the rest day.
