Laparoscopic Splenectomy for a Completely Infarcted Wandering Spleen After Prolonged Positional Abdominal Pain: A Case Report and Focused Literature Review.

A 19-year-old woman had a 7-8-year history of positional abdominal pain, a mobile mass and transient thrombocytopenia. Computed tomography showed a completely infarcted wandering spleen with pedicle torsion. Fully laparoscopic splenectomy succeeded despite total infarction. Recognizing this triad may prompt earlier imaging and does not preclude minimally invasive management.
