Background

Postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) is a leading cause of maternal morbidity and mortality worldwide. Heat-stable carbetocin has emerged as a potential alternative to oxytocin for prevention of PPH. This study compared the safety and efficacy of carbetocin and oxytocin in the prevention of PPH.
