Abstract

Background

Mutrashmari is described by Acharya Sushruta among the Ashta-Mahagada and is characterized by severe pain and dysuria. In contemporary medicine,It may be clinically correlated with urolithiasis. The Ayurveda describes Mutrashmari as Kapha pradhana tridoshaja vyadhi of Mutravaha Srotas, resulting in crystallization & stone formation.
