Abstract
Background
Rachana Sharira forms the foundation of medical science by providing a systematic understanding of the structure of the human body and its various components. One such topic is Peshi Sharira which describes its Utpatthi, Nirukthi, Swaroopa, Karma, Sankhya and distribution throughout the body. Differences in the description and enumeration of Peshi in Ayurveda and Contemporary sciences makes it essential for a systemic correlation.
