Abstract
Acute myocardial infarction (AMI) is the most frequent cardiovascular emergency and one of the leading causes of death. This report describes the case of a 58-year-old woman with inferior ST-segment elevation AMI, arterial hypertension, and type 2 diabetes mellitus, admitted to the intensive care unit. A comprehensive nursing care plan was implemented, integrating hemodynamic monitoring, glycemic control, prevention of complications, management of pain and anxiety, and self-care education. The clinical course was favorable. Person-centered nursing care favored clinical stabilization and secondary prevention.
