Abstract
This study analyzes the patterns and motivations of alcohol consumption among the workers of a renovation company in Madrid, focusing on its role in social interactions, labor factors, and gender perceptions in the construction industry. Using a qualitative approach, interviews were conducted to understand consumption habits both at work and during leisure time. The results indicated that alcohol is commonly used to relax and relieve stress, both outside and inside of work. Factors such as intense work rhythms, adverse weather conditions, and labor conflicts encourage its consumption. Additionally, gender perceptions influence consumption behaviors, particularly in the disparity between men and women in the sector. The study emphasizes the need for preventive measures and awareness campaigns to promote healthy work environments and educate about the risks of alcohol consumption.
