Abstract
The success of using 3-month injectable contraception is highly influenced by the compliance of acceptors in attending follow-up visits according to the scheduled time. One factor presumed to affect this compliance is the level of knowledge of acceptors regarding 3-month injectable contraception. This study aimed to determine the correlation between the knowledge of 3-month injectable family planning acceptors and compliance with follow-up visits at TPMB Midwife Imroatul Khoyimah, S.ST, Sumberejo, Candipuro, Lumajang. This study employed a correlational analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. The population consisted of all 3-month injectable contraceptive users totaling 48 respondents. The sample consisted of 48 respondents selected using a total sampling technique. Data analysis was performed using the Chi-square test. The results showed that the majority of respondents had a good level of knowledge, with 39 respondents (81.3%), and most respondents were compliant with follow-up visits, with 35 respondents (72.9%). The Chi-square test results showed a significance value (p-value) of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant correlation between the knowledge of 3-month injectable family planning acceptors and compliance with follow-up visits. The findings support the theory that knowledge is an important factor influencing individual health behavior. Therefore, improving education and counseling by healthcare providers is necessary to increase acceptors’ compliance in participating in the 3-month injectable family planning program.
