Abstract
Patients with abdominal and pelvic pain who presented to the Emergency Department (ED) were studied with the aim of evaluating the correlation between symptoms at presentation and outcome. Material and methods: A systematic review of ED observation sheets between August 2022, and December 2024 was performed in order to identify and include all cases that met the predefined inclusion criteria, using specific keywords such as "abdominal and pelvic pain", and we choose 144 patients who presented to the ED of Sf. Spiridon County Clinical Emergency Hospital Iași, taking into account vital signs, laboratory tests, specialist consultations and imaging examinations performed during ED stay, with particular attention given to patients diagnosed with bowel obstruction and renal colic.
